For years we have been providing parents, carers, and oral health educators with tools to help inspire our youngsters to take good care of their oral health through our Dental Buddy programme.

This year, we’re excited to announce that Dental Buddy has been given a revamp with a fresh new look and more exciting resources to help get children excited about looking after their teeth.

Whether it’s their first tooth, or their visit to the dentist, a child’s early experiences of oral health can impact on the rest of their life.

That’s why we have created Dental Buddy which provides you with everything you need to teach oral health education at home.

And the best part? It’s absolutely free!

What children will learn with Dental Buddy

  • The importance of brushing teeth for two minutes twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste.
  • The role sugar plays in diet and what a balanced diet means.
  • Why everybody should visit the dentist.

Who should download Dental Buddy

  • Parents or guardians living with children aged 0-11.
  • Teachers looking to gather materials for home-schooling.

The free and downloadable resources are available below and are split by age group.

Each pack comes with a lesson plan, worksheet and interactive presentation and covers the importance of a healthy mouth.

The materials are designed to be fun and engaging including the use of charts, quizzes and even experiments.
