In the case of non-delivery please wait 21 days from the date of your order in case it has been delayed. In the case of damaged goods please retain the product and contact us within 48 hours of receipt.
8.7. The Foundation's shop is bound by the laws of England and Wales. Therefore, the two main statutes, the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 and the Sale of Goods Act 1979 are strictly adhered to at all times.
The Sale of Goods Act 1979 is the main piece of legislation helping buyers to obtain redress when their purchases 'go wrong'. The Distance Selling Regulations were passed to protect consumers when they shop online or enter into other contracts at a distance from the supplier. The key points include:
(i) Under the distance selling regulations, you are quite within your rights to change your mind at any time within the first seven days, return the goods and get a full refund. This means without financial penalty of any kind - such as a cancellation charge or a 'restocking' fee.
(ii) Under Sale of Goods, if the goods are poor quality, unfit or not as described, you may be eligible for an immediate refund, although no definitive timescale is mentioned beyond 'reasonable time'. Under a distance selling contract, your 7 day cooling off period entitles you to a refund within 30 days
(iii) The supplier cannot make refunds subject to the goods being returned unopened in their original packaging. One of the principles of the distance selling regulations is to give you a chance to examine the goods at home, not having had a chance to do so in the shop. It would be impossible for you to do this without opening the packaging and trying the product out. Having said this, you will still be under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods while in your possession, and may be subject to certain instructions such as not to wear shoes outdoors, or remove hygiene seals.
(iv) The goods must be delivered within the time period they have specified. If no time period is specified, then the statutory time limit is 30 days (unless you have agreed otherwise). If the supplier is unable to do this, they must inform you before the end of the 30 day deadline. They may offer you an alternative date for delivery, but you are under no obligation to accept and can ask for a full refund.
(v) The supplier is under obligation to ensure the goods are well protected while they are in transit. The supplier must also make sure the delivery company/courier are aware that the goods are fragile or if they are to be kept or carried in a certain way. If they do not, they will be liable for any damage occurred in transit.
With some items you will be asked to inspect the goods there and then and sign a form to say that they have arrived in satisfactory condition.
(vi) With this in mind you will have a 7-day cooling off period, during which time you can cancel the contract and get your money back in full. However, only returned goods that have been damaged will be subject to the FREEPOST address. If you simply change your mind you will be required to pay any subsequent delivery charge. Although many retailers will request products to be returned in a saleable condition in their original packaging, they cannot make it a condition of giving you a refund.
8.8. VAT will be charged where applicable.
8.9. A valid current membership number must be quoted for special prices to apply
8.10. Liability will not be accepted by the Foundation for damage incurred through the improper use or misuse of products.
9. Card payment security

You should only give out this information when you contact the Foundation directly. If you are contacted or receive an unsolicited e-mail which asks you to confirm or provide your user password or personal or banking information, disregard the request and report the incident the Foundation for investigation.
10. Your personal information
