Fundraising ideas

Your support means more now than ever. Help us continue to be there for anyone who need us by fundraising from the comfort of your home.

We've got lots of fundraising ideas you can try:

Online Classes

Teach an online class, like yoga, home workouts or guitar lessons, or offer home schooling - it's a great way to help people learn new things

Arts and Crafts

Get crafty and make homemade gifts, soap or cards at home. Send to your friends and family in the post and ask for a donation.

Coffee Morning

Host a coffee morning with friends and family – grab a cuppa, snacks and some games and catch up with loved ones.

Baking

Challenge your friends to a virtual bake-off competition. Ask people to donate to enter, then share your baked goods over video chat or social media!

Declutter

Now's the perfect time to declutter and sell any old clothes, gifts or books online – try eBay for charity, Facebook Marketplace, Vinted or Depop.

Quiz Night

Host a virtual pub quiz over video chat or on social media - invite your friends and family and find out who’s the most competitive player!

Take on a Challenge

Challenge yourself to give something up and ask friends and family to sponsor you - it could be a habit, or even a favourite food.

Games Night

Invite your friends to a gaming marathon and place bets on the winner – it’s a great way to keep in touch and have fun at the same time.

Fitness Challenge

Do a sponsored run, walk or cycle and get in shape whilst raising money for charity.

Fundraising stories to inspire you

If you are looking for more reasons to support our Mouth Cancer Action Appeal, then listen to a few people who already have and why they decided to.

Sarah’s Skydive

The inspiration for the skydive was mainly to help overcome my fear of heights and to see what I’m capable of. It turns out, I’m far more capable than I first thought, and it has spurred me on to keep challenging myself and venturing outside of my comfort zone.

500 Miles for Smiles

I was chatting with my friend and colleague about doing something for charity and we got to talking about how my career started in Kirriemuir and how Brighton was about 500 miles away and it kicked off from there, 500 miles 4 smiles was born.

Elaine’s Campaign

The most memorable was giving disclosing tablets to check how well children are brushing their teeth in a booth at the Children’s’ Food Festival in Brighton dressed as a giraffe. This was a very odd experience for a retired RAF Officer!
