Product accreditation Information for manufacturers Using the approval logo Using the approval logo Once a product has been accredited, the manufacturer is granted a licence to use the Oral Health Foundation approval logo on packaging and in marketing materials. The logo is a trusted symbol for consumers, so it is important that it is always used correctly and in line with our guidelines. What the licence allows Manufacturers may display the logo on: Product packaging and outer cartons. Point-of-sale materials and in-store displays. Advertising (print, digital, broadcast and outdoor). Websites, social media and e-commerce listings. Trade and promotional materials. Logo usage guidelines To protect the clarity and integrity of the scheme, all use of the logo must follow our official style guidelines. These cover: Size and visibility. Logo colour options. Placement and spacing. Backgrounds and contrast. Minimum reproduction standards. Products must not imply, through wording or design, that: Accreditation applies to anything other than the approved product. Accreditation represents a ranking or preference over non-accredited products. The product has the Oral Health Foundation’s clinical endorsement outside its agreed claims. Changes that require approval Manufacturers must notify the accreditation team if: Product formulation changes. New marketing claims are added. Packaging design changes in a way that affects logo placement. The logo is being used in a new market or country. Any new claim or significant packaging change may need to be reviewed before continued use of the logo. Protecting consumer trust The value of the logo is built on public confidence. Misuse of the logo harms the scheme and may result in suspension or removal of accreditation. Manage Cookie Preferences
