SDC do Malin to Mizen Donate As a busy dental practice we are trained to recognise the early signs of oral cancer and any changes in oral health. Our aim is to promote and educate our patients with some simple tips and advice on how to keep ourselves healthy. As a team we are giving ourselves the task of travelling the 466km from Malin to Mizen Head before Christmas! We will be doing this with a combination of running, cycling and walking and hope to keep you updated with photos of our travels! Smoking and drinking to excess are two of the major causes of mouth cancer and by making people aware of this we can help them catch cases early. £20 Will go a long way to ensure we can continue to campaign for mouth cancer action. We must reduce the number of lives lost to the disease - awareness and early diagnosis is key and your donation can help us achieve this. £50 Allows us to go out and visit somebody who has been diagnosed with mouth cancer. It is important for those diagnosed with mouth cancer that their voices are heard. Being able to have face-to-face contact offers them support and a chance to open up about their experiences. Quite often, those affected by mouth cancer have a determination to raise awareness of the disease so that it causes less harm to others and we want to help them achieve this.
