Mouth Cancer Action Month is a charity a campaign which aims to address and tackle mouth cancer in the United Kingdom.

At the Oral Health Foundation, we want to the get more mouth cancers diagnosed at an early stage by raising awareness of the disease while encouraging everybody to be more vigilant about changes in their mouth.

This year in the UK, around 8,300 people will be given the life-changing news that they have mouth cancer.

These numbers continue to rise while the disease claims more lives than cervical and testicular cancer combined.

This is why we need your help.

During November we want your support so that more people know about mouth cancer. This includes:

  • Knowing how to spot mouth cancer early and regularly checking for unusual changes in the mouth.
  • Understanding what is likely to cause mouth cancer and reducing your risk.
  • Acting quickly when you see something out of the ordinary by visiting your dentist.

If you want to improve awareness of mouth cancer, then this campaign is for you. Getting involved can help change things for the better and can also be a great way to meet new people and learn new skills, as well as put you in touch with like-minded people in your area.

If you feel as though mouth cancer does not get enough recognition and you think something needs changing, then chances are there are other people who will agree with you.

Together we can make such a positive difference to the landscape of mouth cancer in the UK.
