Between 11 May and 11 June 2026, the Oral Health Foundation will raise awareness of important oral health issues.

Join the nation's biggest oral health campaign and help bring a smile to millions of people.

This year is our biggest year yet as we get ready to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Smile Month, and we need your smiling faces to make it happen.

Parents and carers play a key role in shaping routines at home. Smile Month offers a good moment to share simple advice that families can use every day.

You could engage parents by:

  • Sending home short information sheets.

  • Sharing messages in newsletters.

  • Posting tips on school communication platforms.

  • Linking smile care to healthy lunchbox ideas.

You might also:

  • Encourage children to talk at home about what they have learned.

  • Share reminders about daily routines.

  • Signpost families to trusted sources of advice.

Working with parents helps reinforce messages beyond the classroom. When school and home share the same simple guidance, healthy habits are more likely to stick.
