Over the last year, the Oral Health Foundation has invested nearly more than £1 million on improving oral health education and awareness. This could not have happened without your support.

But there’s more we can do.

Tooth decay remains the most common chronic disease in the world and other conditions like gum disease continue to have a debilitating impact on millions of lives. Each year in the UK, poor oral health leaves more than 35,000 children hospitalised, while 8,300 people are diagnosed with mouth cancer.

This is why we need your help.

Working together

During National Smile Month, we work with businesses from all across the UK. Whether you are just starting out or are part of a multinational organisation, our team are here to create a partnership tailored around you, playing to the strengths of your business while making a positive difference to the landscape of oral health in the UK.

Whether you want to take part in fundraising activities, volunteer your time or donate through sponsorship, matched donations or payroll giving, we will work with you to develop the perfect package for your business.

How your company can take part in National Smile Month

There are so many ways that your business and employees can take part in this year's National Smile Month.

Activities and events

  • The Great British Brushathon is a chance for your employees to raise awareness of brushing at home. It is also a fun way to engage your followers about oral health. Read more>
  • Let your employees get creative by reciting and performing their own smile poems. Have your followers vote on which employee has written the best one. Read more>
  • Encourage employees to cut their sugar consumption during National Smile Month. Which employee has the best sugar swaps and can reduce the most added sugar from their diet? Read more>

Fundraising

  • There are so many great ways for staff to fundraise - even while at home. You could put on digital raffles, auctions, board games or e-sports events, coffee mornings, and quiz nights.
  • Corporate challenges are a fantastic way to encourage team building, networking and getting your colleagues involved in a charity partnership. How about making a pledge as a company to cut xxx teaspoons of sugar out of your team's diet?
  • As a company you can support matched donations. If staff raise money for National Smile Month, your company could consider matching what they make.
  • Cause-related marketing is a great way for your company to boost sales while also giving back. For example, why not donate something to the Oral Health Foundation for every new customer you receive?

Sponsorship and support

  • Choosing the Oral Health Foundation as your chosen charity partner of the year is a great way to focus charitable efforts towards oral health education and awareness.
  • By becoming an official sponsor of National Smile Month, you can help us fund more activities and events. It can also help grow your brand and help with your CSR aims.
  • Your company could join as a Corporate Supporter of the Oral Health Foundation. It will be a regular source of income for us and would allow our charity to continue raising awareness of oral health all year round.

The benefits to you

  • Working with an established charity who have built a respected reputation for nearly 50 years.
