How to run a foreign coin exchange Let everyone know that you are collecting unused foreign currency so they can tell their friends and family. Flyers, posters and social media are great ways to spread the word. Setup your collection bucket in a prominent place. Get looking in those old jeans, bits and bobs drawer and down the back of the sofa for those unwanted coins. Throw your foreign coins in the bucket. Take lots of pictures and share them with us on social media. After a while count up your takings, many banks will let you donate foreign money to charity or you can get it exchanged.
